USTV SCHOOL ON THE CHARACTERIZATION OF GLASS STRUCTURE
The school “How to assess the structure of glasses” that will be held in Grenoble at the EPN campus from November 18 to November 22, 2019.
The school will be oriented to doctorate students and early career scientists from both academia and industrial world. It is focused on the experimental techniques used to determine the structure of glass.
Particular attention will be devoted to methods typical of large scale facilities like X-ray and neutron scattering, X-ray absorption spectroscopy or photon correlation spectroscopy. Laboratory techniques like raman spectroscopy, IR absorption or nuclear magnetic resonance will be presented as well. Theoretical lectures will be followed by “hands on” practicals on data analysis.
